Beat The Heat All Night Under The Lights

6pm – 2:30pmish (Group Stages Typically Done By 1AM)

ALCOHOL: Currently the City Of Tempe is not allowing us to get a beer permit for this event as at this point we are alcohol isn’t allowed.

WHAT: Pick one sport and play in the all night tournament. Each sport will be running simultaneously on separate fields.

Do not make more than one team if you don’t have enough players to play both teams at the same time in the event there is crossover.

WHEN: July 13th, 2024 . Plan to be at the fields all night. Schedule comes out late in the week of tournament due to magnitude of the event & # of teams.

WHERE: Tempe Sports Complex | 8401 S Hardy Dr, Tempe, AZ 85284.

Please carpool and uber where possible as parking is limited. Overflow parking on North side of park.

PRIZES: All tournament winners get trophies & new equipment or swag pending sport

Soccer: COED & MEN’S D1 Winners Get Free Entry to Nationals in Vegas. Trophies & swag for D2& D3. (D2 & D3 Winners of our October 12th AZ Sports & Music Tourney will get free tourney entry to Nationals so save the date)

RULES

COED Grass Volleyball

Grass Rules (Standard AZSL league rules)

  • 4v4 must have at least one female on the court.
  • D2 will most likely start in the later morning and early evening. D1 will start midday and end around 9pm. Pending #s D3 might also start later.
  • Any discrepancies, please just re-do the point.
  • 4 games minimum.
  • Best of 3 sets to 15.
  • Brushing/tapping the net is okay with team discretion. Pulling down the net or running into it with any force or into another person is a loss of point.
  • Each player must serve in rotation.
  • You cannot jump or block serve at the net. You can set the ball over if your feet are on the ground.
  • No scooping the ball.
  • Rally scoring

COED Kickball

  • This is a casual FUN kickball tourney, intense serious teams need-not join. Any arguing will be cause for removal from the tournament.
  • WINNING TEAM MUST BE AN ENTIRE TEAM IF YOU WANT TO CLAIM THE FREE SEASON, IT CAN NOT BE DIVIDED BETWEEN TEAMS SO JUST COME WITH YOUR LEAGUE TEAM IF YOU WISH TO WIN A FREE SEASON.
  • Ten on the field. Four females on the field are mandatory at all times. Teams of 12-14 are ideal.
  • Minimum 3 games.
  • Games to 5 innings or 40 minutes.
  • A new inning will not be started if there are 5 or less minutes left of game time.
  • 6 run per inning mercy rule.
  • Games will start at 10am/11am pending # of teams.

6v6 Soccer

  • MEN’S D1, D2 & D3| COED D1, D2 & D3
  • 25 Min Games. No Halftime. No Sliding.
  • D2 & D3 Games will start late morning and end early evening | D1 games will be 1/2pmish – 9pmish (pending # of teams in each division).

Flag Football

  • Standard AZSL league 6v6 non-contact rules.
  • 4 Games minimum. 30 minute games, no halftime.
  • Games will start at 10am/11am pending # of teams.

COED Softball

  • This is first and foremost a fun tournament. Intense hard-core teams this is not for you. Friendly and fun teams out for a perfect day outside, this is for you.
  • 3 Games Minimum.
  • Minimum 4 females on field at all times.
  • 5 innings or 45 minutes of game time. A new inning will not be started if there are 5 minutes or less of gametime.
  • 6 run max per inning
  • No stealing. If a player is caught leaving the base early that player is out.
  • All bats bust me ASA approved. No baseball bats, no wooden bats no fungo bats.
  • No Metal cleats
  • Games will start at 10am/11am pending # of teams.
