Monday Night Coed Softball in Arcadia/Tempe!

What better way to start your week than with some fun, social softball in the heart of Phoenix?! Mondays will be a little less rough knowing you’re on deck, so step up to the plate and swing away!

Our Monday night adult softball league is a great way to stay active, meet new people, and have some fun. As with all our sports leagues, we encourage players from all skill levels and backgrounds to join us for the season.

• What? Adult coed softball. 8 week season. 50-minute games or 7 innings.
• Where? Pierce Park 2150 N 46th St, Phoenix, AZ 85008
• When? Monday Nights between 6pm-10pm
• Who? Male & Female players all skill levels (6 Men/4 Women on the field) – recommended 12 players on the roster (16 max)
• Cost? $500 per team OR $50 to join a team.

Rules

• Must be ready to play by scheduled game time.
• 10-minute grace period. After 10 minutes it’s an automatic forfeit.
• 7 innings or 50 minute games, whichever comes first.
• A new inning will not be started if there are 5 or less minutes left of game time.
• 10 run max per team, per inning.
• Minimum of 6 players required to start a game. 4 male and 2 female minimum.
• Full team – 4 females and 6 males.
• No Metal Cleats (Rubber Cleats are OK).
• Wooden bats are not allowed.
• Baseball bats are not allowed.
• Fungo bats are not allowed.
• Bats must be ASA approved.
• Teams/Players must bring their own equipment – bats, gloves, and any safety gear of their choosing.
• Safety gear is recommended, but is optional.
• League will provide back up gloves and bats –  1st come, 1st served. No guarantees.
• Base stealing is not allowed.
• If a player is caught leaving the base early, that player will be out.
• If batter enters the batter’s box with illegal bat, it will result in an automatic out.
• If a runner forgets to use saftey home plate, that run will not count and will result in  an automatic out.
• Batting multiple male or female players in a row will result in an automatic out. Must alternate unless it’s top of the line up.
• Batter must announce “Top of the line up” to Umpire before entering the batters box.
• Pinch runners are allowed. Must be same sex player. Female for female and male for male.
• Pinch runner for batter must start from the fence behind the batter and wait until bat makes contact with the ball.
• Batting order – Must alternate male, female or female, male.
• If a male player is walked, he will automatically go to second base.
• When a Male Player is Walked – On two outs only, the next female batter can choose to take first base or bat.
• If outfielder is caught encroaching more than 30ft to the infield on a female batter, a home run will be awarded to that female batter.
• 12″ balls only.
• Underhand Pitching only.
• A pitch must have an arc between 6ft minimum and 10ft maximum.
• Umpire will call an illegal pitch.
• Batter has the option to take the pitch as an automatic ball or swing.
• If the pitch is swung at, the illegal pitch call will be ignored and will be played as a normal pitch.
• Home team is the second team listed on the schedule.
• Lineup cards will be provided, and must be filled out and turned in to umpire before the beginning of the game.
• Lineup is solidified once the team makes it through the entire line up once.
• It is up to the team captain to alert the umpire if he or she suspects the lineup is not being followed correctly.
• Jerseys are welcome but not required.
• Team must wear same color shirts. Numbers are not required.
• Unnecessary verbal or physical abuse towards the umpire, teammates or opposing players is not acceptable ever, and the player/team will be asked to leave the field immediately.
